We meet twice a month at Les Cotils, on the 1st Thursday in the morning from 10:30am - 12:00pm, and on the 3rd Thursday in the evening from 7:30pm - 9:00pm.

There is no need to book. We suggest that potential new members arrive 30 minutes before the meeting and are welcome to bring a friend or family member with them.

What to expect

We aim to create an opportunity for anyone affected by cancer to get together in a friendly atmosphere to chat and share experiences.

You can expect a warm welcome from one of our team of
volunteers, who have either had cancer or supported and cared for someone with cancer. You will have the opportunity to talk privately about yourself and your experience of cancer in a confidential setting. You are not obliged to talk until you feel comfortable to do so.

Our evening meetings usually have a relevant theme or an appropriate speaker. At other times we plan simple social events which give our members the opportunity to spend time together.

FAQs

You do not have to book, you can just turn up. We ask that new members come along 30 mins before the meetings (morning or evening) so that they can spend a little time with one of the committee members to have a chat and see if they would like to sign up to our mailing list etc.

There is no obligation to come to every meeting or to let us know when you are coming. You are welcome to come to every meeting or even just one per year if that is helpful to you.

Yes. The group is open to anyone affected by cancer.

Of course. We understand it can be daunting to come along to a new group.

No problem, just let us know which meeting you would like to come along to and we will arrange for one of the board members to meet you.

Yes. If you struggle with transport, please get in touch and we can organise transportation for you.
